New items from all manufacturers
At a recent exhibition, many previews of future releases were on display …
KATO
Kato showed off the details of the new C62 SL …
… as well as their (unpainted) version of the N700 Shinkansen. Their interpretation of the full width diaphragms looks a lot better than Tomix’s version.
Here is a diorama showing their shrine-carrying festival figure set.
This is their new suburban station.
Kato also now have a nice web page showing the new station items.
MODEMO
Modemo were showing their new Enoden 500 series set.
BANDAI
Bandai had lots of displays of their ‘Shorty’ train series, as well as this interesting mini-layout, complete with subway
TOMIX
Tomix had their version of the ‘Yume Kukan’ passenger set.
This is their version of the N700 Shinkansen – they are still using the same old connection system as on all the other older sets
TOMYTEC
Had a nice little diorama showing many items from their ‘Collection’ series.
The ‘trucks’ in their ‘Car Collection’ #5 were on display, and you can see more about them in this post.
This is the new Shrine complex, including the amusement stands and festival people.
The next items in the ‘Diorama Collection’ are these 5 modern residential buildings – a fabulous addition to the range.
These are the items in ‘Bus Collection’ #11 – don’t know the company names yet.
‘Truck Collection’ #4 will include this fire engine.
There will also be some Keio ‘HO’ buses.
Here is a preview of the characters in ‘Tetsudo Musume’ #5.
GREENMAX
Had a nice diorama showing many of their new sets.
They also announced a new modular building series. A range of different shaped base buildings, with a selection of finishes and entrances, gives you the option to make many different business type buildings or even multistory mansions.
MICROACE
Showed their new MCR600 snowploughs.
They also had many of their new sets on display, including the new Joyful train series, but they were mostly all just unpainted shells.
KYOSHO
Among new bus releases was the ‘Hato’ bus
OTHERS
And finally, a compnay I have never heard of had a nice 1/144 scale model of Kumamoto castle (with interiors), for just Y27,300
