new Kawai scenery items

Kawai have announced quite a large range of trees and other scenery items, for release in early April.

I am not sure about the realism or usefulness of their trees, but a couple of items that simulate rows of bushes may be useful. They are also quite cheap, at Y220.

kpd-09.jpg KPD-9 – 5 rows of ikegaki (hedge)

 kpd-10.jpg KPD-10  – 4 rows of nanohana (Rape flower)

 kpd-11.jpg KPD-11  – 4 rows of tsutsuji (Azalea)

You can see the full range on their web page here, but I wish they would do rice fields or rows of tea bushes !!!

  1. I have a “Kawai Model” SP 0-6-0 brass kit from Tokyo, Japan and mint in the box. There is no date anywhere. Can anyone tell me what year that might have been produced? Thanks!

  2. >It sounds like ‘nanohana’ :p
Hehehe! I don’t think so, I said “in English”

    >231 yen for you, but they might be a little too small for HO …
Oh, the extra 11 yen must be an oyaji tax 😮
Damn.. too small? 😦 Have to find something else.

  4. Hum…. I wonder how it sounds when people pronounce “nanohana” in English!!!! Scary! 😮
220 yen is cheap enough, hope they look good even in a HO layout 🙂
