New model announcements from Greenmax

Greenmax have announced 3 new RTR/painted kit models for release in or after September 2007 …

  • Keikyu 2100 series EC – built in 1998, this series is Keikyu’s latest, and as a 2-door type does the premium express runs on their various lines. It will be a RTR model, and is basically an assembled version of the painted kits already available in the past. The train is an 8 car set, and like the kits, I would expect the release of a 4 car set and a 4 car add-on. See a picture of the train here.
  • Kintetsu 12200 series EC ‘Snack Car’ – a 4 car older type set from the early 1970’s and still used on longer distance runs, this will also be a RTR model, and will also be available as a 2 car set. See a picture of the train here.
  • Tokyu 1000 series EC – built from 1988 as a variant of the 9000 series, this type of set is used in 8 car sets on the Toyoko line, and 3 car sets on the Ikegami & Tamagawa lines. This one will be released as a pre-painted kit, and is basically very similar to the previously released 9000 series sets. See a picture of the train here.
