MicroAce releases for April 2008

To add to the huge list of new releases already announced for the first 3 months of 2008, MicroAce have added a few more, tentatively for April …

  • A0862 – 721-100 series EMU 6-car set with U-seat car (JR Hokkaido – silver with green stripes) 
  • A0865 – 721-3000 series EC 3+3 car set with U-seat car (JR Hokkaido – silver with green stripes)
  • A3251 – Koki106 (gray) container wagon 2 car set (each with 2x 31′ Nittsu ‘Ecoliner 31’ U47A containers)
  • A3252 – Koki50000 (brown) + Koki106 (gray) container wagon (each with 3x 12′ JOT ‘Cool 25degC’ UF15A containers)
  • A3670 – Kiro59 series DC 3 car set ‘Resort Saloon Festa’ Joyful Train (original type – white with green/blue stripes)
  • A3671 – Kiro59 series DC 3 car set ‘Resort Saloon Festa’ Joyful Train (renewed type – white with green/blue stripes)
  • A8512 – DD18-1 series self-propelled snowplough 3 car set (DD51 type DL + 2 Russell ploughs)
  • A8528 – DD51-1156 series DL (JR Freight refurbished colour scheme – red/gray with white stripe)

The ‘Resort Saloon Festa’ is the one with the fish face and moving lips with a speaker behind them (the model will have manually moveable lips) !!! It was built in 1988 by JR West & retired in 1999.

The ‘inside’ couplers on the container wagon sets are MicroAce’s coupler, but Rapido couplers are also included.

Also due for re-release is …

  • A1353 – Meitetsu Kiha8000 series DC 6 car set ‘Kita Alps’ (Cream/red)
