MicroAce releases for August 2009

MicroAce have announced their tentative list of released for August 2009 …

  • A0101 – Tobu 8000 series EC 6 car set (A/C, new colour – white with blue stripes)
  • A0107 – Tobu 5000 series EC 4 car set (A/C – cream)
  • A0844 – 789-1000 series EC 5 car set ‘Airport’ (JR Hokkaido – silver with dark gray, purple, and light green stripes !!)
  • A0984 – 785 series EC 5 car set ‘Suzuran’ (JR Hokkaido – silver with blue stripe)
  • A2902 – JNR ED17-2 series EL (brown)
  • A3801 – JNR ED18-1 series EL (brown)
  • A3855 – JNR 8 car FC set ‘Nishi Takara’ (2x Chiki5000 + 5x Waki1+Yo5000 )
  • A4042 – 209-500 series EC 6 car set (Keiyo line – silver with red stripes)
  • A4043 – 209-500 series EC 4 car addon (Keiyo line – silver with red stripes)
  • A6361 – Nankai 6100 series EC 6 car set (silver with blue/orange stripes)
  • A6375 – Nankai 7100 series EC 6 car set (white with blue/orange stripes)
  • A6409 – D52-468 series SL (stored at Umekoji Steam Locomotive Museum)
  • A6410 – D52-1 series SL (first of series built in 1943)

Re-releases

  • A0874 – Tobu DRC1700 series EC 6 car set ‘Kegon’ (original type – beige/brown)
  • A0875 – Tobu DRC1720 series EC 6 car set ‘Kinu’ (renewed type – beige/brown)

The ED17 was imported from Britain in the early 1920’s for the electrification of the Tokaido line and was one of JNR’s first electric locos.

The Keiyo line 209-500 sets are ex-Keihin Tohoku line, when they were recently replaced by the new E233-1000 sets.

I believe this is the first time a Nankai Railway suburban set has been offered in RTR N scale !!

Even though the Tobu DRC sets have been re-released by popular demand, IMHO they are still the ugliest trains I have even seen 😦
