MicroAce releases for November 2009

MicroAce have announced their tentative new and re-releases for November 2009 …

New releases

  • A1305 – EF55-1 series EL (as recently retired – brown with white stripes)
  • A1664 – 205 series EC 7 car set (Yokohama line – silver with 2-tone green stripes)
  • A5343 – 167 series EC 4+4 car set (school excursion version – red/yellow)
  • A5370 – 159 series EC 4+4 car set (school excursion version – green/orange)
  • A6172 – Hankyu 9300 series EC 8 car set (1st version – maroon)
  • A6173 – Hankyu 9300 series EC 8 car set (2nd version – maroon)

Re-releases

  • A1691 – 14-800 series PC 7 car set Joyful train ‘Roman’ (original version 1995-2000 – gold/navy blue)
  • A1692 – 14-800 series PC 6 car set Joyful train ‘Roman’ (renewal version 2000-2007 – gold/purple)
  • A4811 – E653 series EC 7 car set ‘Fresh Hitachi’ (red/silver/white)
  • A4821 – E653 series EC 7 car set ‘Fresh Hitachi’ (blue/silver/white)
  • A4851 – E653 series EC 4 car set ‘Fresh Hitachi’ (orange/silver/white)

Even though the E653 sets have been done before, M/A have given them new numbers and say they have been upgraded (for a 25% price increase !!!). Which is just as well, as the Blue E653 was their 2nd non-steam release in 2000 (after the 185’s), and was not a good model !!!

The EF55-1 is the version just recently retired, and they say it is an ‘improved’ model, so I hope this one does not have a dummy front bogie, seeing the price has risen 25%  😦

  1. Any recent news on Microace release plans, or more specifically re-release? Interested if the 215 commuter trains are on the horizon.
